“Thanks to everyone who participated, it was a record breaking event - more than 18,000 walkers in Balboa Park, San Diego, and $1.1 MILLION raised to support the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer research, education and patient services programs. Hope DID start here!

Survivors and patients were out in full force; nearly 400 individuals were recognized for their personal fight against breast cancer.

Thank you FOR MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER WITH US!” (from Vicki Schooley, Fugro Pelagos, Inc., San Diego).

Well - as an occasional contractor for Fugro-Pelagos, Inc. in San Diego I was deeply impressed about the company’s awareness and sensitivity, and exhibiting “Corporate Responsiblity” by paying $100 for each walking employee (or, in my case: contractor).

As a “Son-of-a-Mom” who acquired breast cancer, of course, this was a MUST for me to show my respect.

I loved it! Thank You Vicki, Fugro Pelagos, Inc., and all others -T
