AMAKUA VIDEO = PRODUCT PROMOTER

PS: Orion (11) is the young camera operator in our last video blog.

If he chooses to do so, he is well on his way to become a famous marine scientist & documentarist (…watching this current video you may realize: Orion can talk well & A LOT!)

Orion’s younger sister (Maya, 7) is also incredibly proficient with “Ocean Stuff” for her young age - and she does not even remember when she started snorkeling in the ocean…

Good job Kiddos, good job Daddy!

AMAKUA VIDEO promoting SAVEOURSEAS.org

Are you one of those people who got inspired by Jacques Cousteau like I was as a young boy?

Now we - that is AMAKUA VIDEO & SAVEOURSEAS.org - are at the juncture to offer an AWESOME KIDS MARINE EDUCATION PROGRAM where children Age 5 to 18 are trained in reef-monitoring, and to learn to document their observations with digital video/photo cameras & software.

Watch this 3-min. video of Paul Clark, Director & President of Saveourseas.org, with his son Orion and daughter Maya (8-years young) and get some impressions of the marine environment of Kauai. Orion, 11-years young, enjoys a first “touch & feel training” in underwater videography as he operates the PD150 AMPHIBICO camera housing:

“The Return of the Jedis” - or - “…of the 80-ties” (?)

dateJune 27th, 2008

… Right now I may feel a bit like “Luc Skywalker” as part of the returning “Jedi Knight Crew” to “$ave his world from the evil…”, or may be more appropriately spoken - am I part of “NIGHT CREW” with the lights cllose to be turned off, kicked back to the “Return of the 80-ties” where gasoline was super-expensive and a lot of people felt a sense of desperation…?

I was too young to grasp any of that way back when — just knowing a little bit about the “Cold War”, but foremost enjoying soccer, track & field, and ice hockey - which - as it was perceived in the “Winter 1984 Olympics”, was an extension of all the above…

So - what is this all about and what has AMAKUA VIDEO to do in the context of all this? Not much, but more with me as an individual who is concerned about “us”, our country, and our global community…

Well, I recently asked myself: “Have we become any smarter since the 80-ties?” (Answer: “…probably not really”…), or, are we only more “aware” about certain aspects how ‘things’ come together? (Answer: “May be” - depends on who you ask…) — but if so, then what to do!?…

I decided to let go of all the above, and reset to a solid “0.0.0.”, primarily at the gas pump for both $aving purposes of environmental resources and $$$ = money…

I decided to do the following:

1.) After a 2-year stint on the mainland, I am so happy to be back in Hawaii, cruising along on my bike without using nothing besides my own body power — SUPER - I LOVE IT!!!

2.) Albeit an advocate of Physical Fitness, who rides the bike as often as possible (see: above), I now add a $$$-saving component into my life when it comes to the rare occasion when I drive a car.

I drive a car much less-frequently than on the mainland, but enough that I now add a certain amount of “Fuel Additives” to the gasoline. This product supposedly curbs the “Gasoline Appetite”, reduces my “Carbon Footprint”, enhances my own ca$h-flow, and supports to preserve, protect and restore some of our natural resources due to reduced hydrocarbon usage and emissions.

“Well spoken, Mate!” - and with that I want to ask you a silly question: “If there is a way to save 50 cents to a dollar on every gallon of gas for your car, do you think people will be interested?”

If you answer this question with a solid “YES!”, you may want to check out more details on this following website: http://www.fuellegacy.com/AmakuaVideoNanoFuel

It supposedly tells you all about all the above: saving $$$, preserving YOUR car, protecting the environment - WOW! But is this really a “Fuel Legacy” as the website proudly proclaims? We’ll see over the next few months, using the product — I am open to explore…

As a “Zwecks Optimist” (someone who is optimistic at all times – by ”self-enforcement” when needed…), I certainly keep my fingers crossed, with the goal to promote “things” to start becoming better before they get any worse — be it with the politics in-&-outside our beloved Grand Nation, or with myself as an individual in a globalized world community (I really love this country and claim now proudly to be an “American Citizen”, but nevertheless promote the notion of “acting locally while thinking globally”! Fair enough?)

I am asking myself: “Am I going to help to curb Climate Change that way?” – I decided that I want to “be the change that I want to see in the world” as Gandhi once proclaimed in universal wisdom.

I try to do my share every day - How about that? How about you?

My Love to the World - Thomas :)
